24HSHD is a public international newsgroup not affiliated with any ISP
    or other service provided.

Check with your ISP or mail service provider.

You didn't say what error message, error code etc, mail application.

    Assuming BY.
Don't think there was anything up or rather down with the BY SMTP today.
However there was a POP3 problem earlier.

    http://www.blueyonder.co.uk/blueyonder/status/statuspage.html
    nothing about SMTP yet.

However also look in the BY group,
    blueyonder.support.mail
For the specific reporting of diagnostic information on blueyonder mail
    services ONLY.

1 reported issue at 17:30 in that group.

Just sent myself a message (externally) no problem reported back (yet).

Contact Blueyonder. They seem to have more than their share of problems by
the number of inquiries here from their customers.
