"Smelly" PC -- The Saga Continues

Discussion in 'A+ Certification' started by Dave Hardenbrook, Apr 25, 2005.

  1. Well, the drama continues. I received a phone call today from my client
in whose computer I replaced the Power Supply and attempted to diagnose
the source of the "burnt-oil"-like smell coming from the Mobo. Less
than a week after installing the new PS, her system is dead yet again.
It looks like a new Power Supply will not solve the problem. Is it time
at last to tell her she needs a new mobo (or whole new system)?

Sounds like time for a new system to me but of course it's always up to the
    customer.
