slow wireless traffic in local network

    I've a laptop and desktop pc connected to the same router and i am
    transferring files between em, Indicators at both computers says they
    are connected with 54Mbps but my data rate is around 8Mbps. There are
    two other computers but they are definitely idle. I am drag&dropping
    files, and didn't install netbios. here are the corresponding ipconfig
    dumps.

    Interesting question, Yes I do have both 2.0 and 1.1 ports on my
    desktop mainboard(kinda old),But got no idea which is which, I'll
    check
    when I get back home , thanks for the insight though.
