I use cable modem , WinXP and Firefox 1.0.4,every time I want to turn
off the computer or restart it, it takes about 3 minutes to show the
the menu to turn off , standby or restart.I just install firefox
    version 1.0.4 last week
    What can be wrong?
    Thanks.

  2. Just before you shut off, view the task manager processes
(ctrl-alt-del, click processes) and see what processes are taking the
most memory or cpu. Try also ending them, and seeing if the time is
    shorter
