The lock nut is stuck on the sink flange. Any suggestions on how to
unscrew the lock nut by myself??

*You need to use caution as you could damage the sink*

you might as well take a chisel and just break the lock nut and get a new
    one.

A new one should be quite inexpensive...just use caution

    Also...wear your safety glasses!!!!

Use a small drill bit, to drill up each side of the nut.
Drill up again, with a bigger drill.
    Split nut with hammer/chisel.
    Voila !.
