    Hello again,

At first I wasn't able to open Firefox or Mozilla after closing. I then
checked "Processes" via Task Manager and saw that it was still open even
though the program was closed (I can only re-open the program when I end
the process). Why doesn't the program fully shut down when I close it
and is there any way I can make it do so without having to go through
Task Manager? Is this a common occurrence or am I somehow jinxed (please
forgive me if it's a common problem that's already been discussed to
    death!)?

I can't speak for FF, but with Moz, do you have Quicklaunch enabled?
This will keep Moz running even if closed and is supposed to provide
easy (errr rather Faster) startup. But others say no, this is no as
fast as a regular startup. Any ways, check under Edit, Preferences,
Advanced, and the last box. Uncheck it if its checked. As for FF, look
    for something similar.

Um, closing a program's windows is NOT the same as shutting it down. The
program is still there, running, in the background, except that you cant
see any windows for it (because you closed them of course).

You want to shut down, choose quit. If you want to simply close windows,
then do so, but it doesnt quit the program, it simply closes the window.
