Shared Fax Problem

Discussion in 'Microsoft Certification' started by =?Utf-8?B?SGFuZGxl?=, Jan 23, 2004.

  1. We have a client server network running SBS 2000 on the server and XP on the workstations. We have installed a Brooktrout TruFax on the server and use Shared Fax to interface with it

After the initial installation, everything worked well. However, we decided to move the board to a different server about six months ago. That project did not work out as well as hoped, and we moved the board back to the original server. After that move back, 13 of our 15 workstations would not pull up the fax wizard to send faxes (they view faxes fine) within shared fax (interestingly, they can fax through the Outlook Fax Transport). In fact, the wizard does appear to start and then immediatley cancels. It happens so fast that we cannot be sure, but that is what it looks like is happening

It does appear to be isolated to the workstations because the functionality does not change if I log on as different users

    Does anyone have any suggestions?
