setting up a network

    Any one know of any tutorials on setting up a network between 2 pc's using a
    router? both using XP pro, but unsure how to set up. Thanks

    If you want to connect 2 PCs, you only need 'cross-cable'. Plug it in
    and set the IP address on the both PCs.

    You don't need to do anything with the router other than plug the two
    machines into LAN ports on the router.

    You then configre the XP O/S on the machines to share resources and you can
    find that information using Google or dogpile.com
