service pack 2 issues

Discussion in 'Microsoft Certification' started by =?Utf-8?B?TEM=?=, Oct 29, 2006.

  1. Hello, I am still learning & very much a novice pc user so please excuse my
lack of technical know-how. My question is this: Is KB925672 the same thing
as Service pack 2. In the Add & Remove section of my pc these two items are
clearly listed as such & my pc is running extremely slow, if these two items
are one and the same then surely I can delete one of them and retain the
other. I am quite hesitant to delete anything before knowing what it is as I
really stuffed-up a week ago after I deleted something like a language domain
thing and something else that I didnt think my pc needed. Any help and
advice (other than to get a professional to look at it) would be most
    appreciated. Many thanks: Lyne

  2. KB925672 is not Service Pack 2 for Windows XP.
In this case, SP2 means it is SP2 for that particular program and not
    Windows XP.

You should also see "Service Pack 2", if not are you sure you have SP-2 for
    Windows XP installed?
