    PC Duron 1300 / 128 mbyte 10 gb maxtor
Everytime i boot up my computer after the post
scandisk starts to run saying that my drive may have developed bad sectors,
    run scandisk.
I ran a full surface test in true dos- no bad sectors etc

If it autoscans, let it finish. This could solve the problem.
As a way to squelch the problem :Go to c:\msdos.sys and set autoscan to
    zero.
