I was able to go into safe mode to scan and defrag. By the way safe mode was
F8 on ME.....to those of you that replied to me on how to get into safe
    mode.
Now I had alot of clusters that wouldn't move(white boxes with red in
them).....my question is ....does that effect the computer? If so ..how?? Is
there anything else I should do about that?.......thanks

That's normal. Defrag won't move any files that have the hidden attribute
    byte set.
