Rob Galbraith report inaccurate on Firewire readers?

I'm interested in the Delkin Reader 24 Firewire card reader, reviewed by Rob
    Galbraith here:

    http://www.robgalbraith.com/bins/content_page.asp?cid=7-6395-6430

However, the figures he quotes there for their 'longtime reference reader',
the Microtech Firewire Cameramate are at odds with those performance figures
that they publish here in their roundup:

    http://www.robgalbraith.com/bins/multi_page.asp?cid=7-6191-6217-6221

That review actually names the Addonics Firewire Mini Digidrive as the top
    performer...

In fact, the reader roundup shows that the Microtech Digidrive only manages
an average of 4244K/sec, whereas the news piece for the Delkin device claims
4498K/sec (to PC), clearly faster for 225MB of D1X shots....(admittedly, the
newer piece substitutes a few 1GB cards for 512MB models, but there's very
    little difference overall).

    What gives?
