Resolution changes in Internet Explorer

Discussion in 'Computer Support' started by Art at ABE Computer Consultants, Feb 1, 2004.

  1. Was working on a computer yesterday and set the screen resolution to
800 x 600. I then fired up IE (ver 6) and noticed that it was
displaying at 640 x 480 and no background colors were being displayed.
I cleared the cache and rechecked the display settings, but no
    success in changing this.
Anyone have an idea why this is happening (other than the fact that
    the machine was running ME).
Oh, yes--Display adapter is Radeon 7500 in a Compaq about 4 years old.

Reinstall/update your video drivers and/or DirectX.

  3. I did the video driver while on site but now I'll have to try Direct X
    Thanks--we'll see what happens.
