    Hi all.

My brother has a problem when he tries to log on. He gets to the XP logon
screen, but when he clicks his logon, it shows as loading settings and then
immediatley to saving setting. It logs him off immediately after he tries to
logon. I've tried to boot into save mode and the same thing happens with
    Administrator.

    I think he's got a virus, but how can I run his anti-virus (AVG) if I can't
    get into windows?

Any help would be gratefully apprecaited.

You could put his drive as a second drive into another PC. Start it up and
run the anti-virus software to scan the second drive.

Great idea. I'll do it on mine. Thanks
