Reinventing Browser Tabs

Discussion in 'NZ Computing' started by Lawrence D'Oliveiro, May 19, 2009.

  1. All part of this "Web browser as operating system" business. I must say I'm
sceptical: yes I use the Web a lot, but I don't see it as a substitute for
an operating system. What happens to unsaved docs when you accidentally
close a browser tab or window, or hit the "back" button? Would you want to
access a website that could prevent you from doing these things? Would you
want to use a browser that allowed websites this kind of control?
