    Years ago it was easy, and mostly worked, and one could recall/delete a
    message on perhaps 90% of the usenet servers out there, even many hours
    later. These days, due to abuse and much faster computers, you are
    generally out of luck.

    e-mail? newsgroup?

    The blanket answer is you can't.

    There is a cancel message feature in most newsreaders, but very few
    servers honor it because it can be forged.

    E-mail - There's a option in I believe outlook that says recall
    message, but the other persons e-mail client must support and honor
    that request.
