I have been using IE to read the microsoft discussion groups, and I've had no
problems for several years. Now, when I do a search, I get only one page of
older hits, and the more recent hits are not accessible. Also, some
features, eg specifying sort order, are not available (never have been
    available).

So, is there some technology I should be using for this? The intro file
says a web-based newsreader is best.

All I want to do is browse some groups, ask some questions, reply to
    questions, and search.
