    I suspect the machine has bit the dust.
    You can take it in to get an estimate but it is not likely to be worth the
    cost of the estimate.
    I don't have a grudge against Toshibas but I have seen what I would consider
    to be a high failure rate for these machines among Toshiba owners I know,
    particularly the low end units (a Celeron is a low end machine).
    An unfortunate trend I see in current machines of this ilk/price point is
    that they are being sold with Vista 64 loaded. Not only is the end user
    saddled with Vista but with its most unstable, hardware incompatible variant
    on a low end, underpowered laptop.
    Caveat Emptyourpockets.
