My grandma used to be able to fix carp to taste pretty good. She was from
old country though. Macedonia. Over there they could season up anything
that didn't go 'woof' or 'meow' to taste good.

Stuff that 'woofs' and 'meows' can also taste pretty good. Just ask the
    Koreans.

A friend of mine married a Korean gal he met while stationed in Seoul so
I know all about it. When I went over for dinner I always demanded to see
the package any meat we were going to eat came in. I went to the freezer
one time to get some ice and saw a pair of frozen chicken feet. :)

First rule of survival: almost anything that walks, crawls, swims or
    flies can be eaten.

And the Chinese eat every part of the duck except the quack, and they
    don't eat the pig's grunt.

Get back to that freezer. Eat the contents.
