Re: Taking pictures in Reno

  1. You'll need to ask around, but in places like Reno and Vegas, there are VERY
    few establishments (such as casinos) which allow you to take photos inside.
    Mostly a security issue. And there are some VERY heavy penalties in some of
    these places for doing so, so ASK before you even try it.

    On the streets as far as I know, it's fair game as that should be considered
    public space.

    The only possible penalty is ejection from the casino.

    I'm going to visit Vegas next month and planning to shoot the girls in
    Casino's special costumn(those who walk around and bring drinks to the
    players). I want to collect as many casino costumn pictures as possible, is
    it against the rule to shoot the employee? What if I take a picture
    together with them, will it sound better than shooting them alone?

    Ask in advance.

    Also note that you'll need a release from the employee (and, for good
    measure, from the casino, if trademarks or other strongly braned
    properties are in view) for some types of use of the resulting photos.
