    Actually having BP pay the amount of damages over the next ten years is
    better then driving them into bankruptcy. That would just mean the
    Taxpayer would be stuck with the tab. The last business the government
    seized and ran was the Mustang Ranch in Nevada. It was a complete
    failure.

    And they were selling something 1/3 of the world's
    population considers necessary and desireable!!

    Far better to get the companies that owned and manned the Deepwater Horizon
    oil rig and supplied the BOP (both American) and were responsible for the
    problem to pay the damages!
