Did you start out with charger-with-1600mAH-cells kit?
And, then you added a pack of 2100mAH cells?

Not having specified any details for us -- it might be that the
charger is a "dumb" 1600mAH charger and it charges the 2100mAH
cells according to its "dumb" charge-for-x-amount-of-time design.
This'll result in the 2100mAH batteries being under charged -- so
much so, that they won't perform quite as well as the 1600mAH cells.
