    So, the windows logo and videos are distorted, but
    everything else looks just fine?

    That is very curious. What OS are you running? What
    are your current video settings? (I am not putting
    anything together with it just yet, but the thing that
    jumps to mind is the fact that the machine is still in
    VGA mode when the logo is displayed.)

    Just for fun, switch to 640x480 16 colors and see if
    your desktop still looks right.

    Do you have the latest video drivers, directx, etc.?
