    So you've looked at the back of your tower at the backplate of your
    soundcard where all the connectors go in from your mic and speakers?

    You're not going to find out much about any card only doing that.

    Get a Philips size 3 screwdriver and actually open the box. Then
    physically remove the card. Odds are that the manufacturers name
    and the card model will be silk-screened onto the card.

    When you replace the card it will give you the opportunity to
    ensure that it is properly seated.
