The Masons and Shriners have done a lot of good stuff. All Tony
Spadaro does is promote whatever cheap goods the camera manufacturers
have a wild hair up their ass to sell this week. Telling beginners
they need plastic electronic cameras is just a fucked-up thinking way
    of life.

The Masons have tradition, they have history, they have ritual, they
don't bother those outside their world, the lodge speaks to powerful
needs men have. Some don't, and they don't become Masons. I'm not a
Mason, it doesn't fascinate me particularly, but it has been a
positive thing for some. Do Masons come on TV, tell everyone that they
have to be Masons or go to hell, demand ten percent of their pretax
income, sell their secret doctrine as multithousand-dollar Training
Routines, or anything else that's so terrible?

You want a plastic camera, buy a Holga or Diana. Or one of those
Russian Pentax mount SLRs-they're cheap, but they're cheap enough to
be. Probably more reliable than that piece of shit Canon Rebel.
