As Linux distros strive to shoehorn more & more onto
the new generation desktops the realities of SW development
hit home and big time adoption starts with windope
packages creeping into the OSS developed as a mish mash of packages.

Its possible this might eliminate windopze from the desktop
altogether because it is undesirable to have to pay
for a virus and crash prone OS like windoze when Linux is free

Now it appears there are numerous vendors offering desktop
support like SuSE, Mandriva, Ubuntu etc... which means there
are no real reasons to sneak in costly vista crap into the office
without consulting more widely. The betas are all crap
and probably sneaked onto higher spec machines without
management authorization just to fool management.

And once linducks is the dominant operating system (very unlikely) then what
do you think the hackers, crackers and script kiddies will attack?

You'll do good to ignore Nut-of-7. The 7th-Nut is a *NUT*.
