    Have you disabled all background tasks that you don't need? Try looking
    here for pointers on *how* to do it:

    Here's a list of what ones are useless (most are):

    More lists can be found with the simple web search: "startup programs
    list". Note also that *none* are required for windows to run properly.
    Not even system tray or scan registry.
