    That is what I thought I had read awhile back in one of the forums
    dealing with the subject. I just wanted to make sure I was
    understanding it correctly.

    Now, a few more questions:

    1. What exactly does "sector-by-sector" mean? If I save the image
    without any compression, will that accomplish this "sector-by-sector" save?

    2. When I make my normal incremental saves with Acronis, it uses a
    separate partition it creates called the 'Secure Zone' on the C: drive.
    It does not 'image' the *entire* drive, only the system and the file
    data. Now, I take it that TrueCrypt encrypts the *entire* C: drive,
    even if half the drive space is empty. Therefore, if I have a 500Gb
    drive, I must have the backup at least as large as the C: drive. Do I
    have this correct?

    3. I have four outboard USB connected hard drives. If I add another
    drive the size of the present C: drive - USB connected, will that be
    okay to use for saving the Acronis image of the C: TrueCrypt drive?

    assumptions are true, I guess I will give it a go.
