    When TelstraClear send email advertising to their customers,
    the email contains a HTML remote image. When the image is
    downloaded, this verifies that you have read the email.

    <img src="http://www.mightymail.co.nz/[...]" [...] >

    Mightymail is the website which hosts the remote image and provides
    the read verification service for TelstraClear.

    I do not automatically download HTML remote images.
    Spammers use the same trick to verify that their spam has been
    opened. Downloading remote HTML images can verify your
    address to spammers.
