No removable lens and no zoom range either.
A P&S has no removable lens, zoom range and better quality.
Use a m43 or Sony A55 or NEX with a single lens if dust is a problem.
Why go there and use the iPhone? Mad.

because you can listen to music on it, record sound, take photos, view
    photos
and remmeber you can have a zoom function just get the camera Plus
    app.
Browse the web, send emails, order stuff, podcasts,.
And of course it as ot doesn;t really look like a camera you've more
    chance of taking candid shots
rather than standing there with a DSLR in full view and aim of anyone
that might take offense at a Pro photographer.
Even at gigs some venues don;t let you take your 'Pro' camera in but
you can normlly take your phone to a gig.

Oh and with an iphone you can phone too, something which most cameras
    lack.

Only one item to carry that serves multiple functions. Backup batteries
are needed for only one item. The images can be sent directly from the
device, reducing the need to extra SD cards. Yes, dedicated cameras
produce better images but they are shooting to convey information. Low
    res images fill the purpose.
