    SAProxy (Spam Assasin, basically). http://www.saproxy.com/ . I haven't had a
    spam get through it yet.

What config have you changed from the default on SAProxy, Nicholas?

I've been comparing SAProxy default v SpamPal default plus the Regex plugin

SAProxy lets through 50% while Spampal+Regex kills 95%.

I just downloaded SAProxy and gave it a go. It seems to be pretty effective.
It marked a couple of my daily newsletters as Spamhowever. Why on earth is
it taking up 36MB RAM when it is idle? Even explorer.exe isn't taking up
that much. This is onWindows XP by the way. Nicholas, what platform are you
running it on and how much RAM does it consume on your system?
    Cheers.

I'm running Windows2k, but I have since ditched it to move to SpamPal
    (www.spampal.com).

Please note that the 36MB that you talk about is the amount of memory
RESERVED for that program. If 250 out of 256 MB of memory is used up in
Windows, it'll just shrink the amount of memory reserved for programs. When
the program needs to allocate more memory, it will allocate more memory.
When the program no longer needs memory, Window won't bother clearing it and
making it free for other programs until it needs it (Saves CPU cycles).

    Cheers,

OK, cheers for that little lesson on Windows memory management. I'll keep
running SAProxy - its the best solution I've found so far after having to
ditch cloudmark spamnet when they started subscription-based charging.
    Thanks,
