Just a stab in the dark. I have a Minolta QV r-40. I was using it a few
weeks ago and it just turned its self off. I can not turn it on with the
power button. Pressing the review mode button turns it on to review mode.
Pressing he On/Off button or the rec mode button results in the camera
turning off. The Green light flashes repeatedly for 4 flashes then turn
offs. The lens cover never moves.

I have charged the batteries, tried a different memory card, reset the
    camera via the menu.

Any ideas whats up with it? Has anyone ever send a camera back to Minolta,
    what were the costs?

    Thanks in Advace
