Quiet DVDs

    Can anyone explain why some DVDs are extremely quiet when I try to play
    them? I have tried swapping over DVD palyers and scart leads but still have
    to have volume full-on and even then its too quiet. This seems only to occur
    on prortable TV's, when I try on my bigger TV its OK?????
