q about price of box sets

Discussion in 'DVD Video' started by Waterperson77, Jun 28, 2004.

  1. since it's cheaper to package a set of dvd's in one box set(as a season set)
than the same discs as single discs in single packages, then why does the UK
and Australia charge more for season sets than the same discs(of the same
    titles) as single discs?

while the U.S. charges less for season sets (since it costs less) than tey do
for the same discs as single discs.

Duh! Because that's what people will pay.

Cost is one element of pricing decisions, but market projections
    weigh heavily too.
