    I am running Windows XP.

In my Program Files folder there is a folder called "xerox" and inside that
    is another called "nwwia".

    What is this for?

When I do cntrl + alt + del I find that the process xerox is running.

When I command xerox to shut down, windows explorer closes.

Should I delete this folder that I don't recognize? IF so, how?

It's the Xerox scanner daemon, installed if you connect
    a camera, flash reader, etc.
