Processor Comparison - AMD vs. Pentium

Discussion in 'Computer Support' started by Ctrl¤/Alt¤/Del, Dec 17, 2007.

  1. Intel Pentium E2140 Dual-Core Processor

    or

    AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 4000+

Which one of these is the superior processor? If you could get either
one in a new computer, at virtually the same price, which one would be
    the wise choice?

The Windsor AMD has a faster clockspeed and twice the L2 cache, but
there may be other considerations, and you haven't adequately defined
    the AMD yet

    "Windsor" (F2 & F3, 90 nm) - Athlon 64 X2 4000+
