    Hi All,

Having problems with Win98. It is taking an extremely long time
to load on startup. I am running a Gateway G6450 with an 192MB of
RAM. I have tried to disable the different items in the MSCONFIG
file, but there seem to be files that re-establish themselves. This
is making a mess of my startup file, there are about 100 different
files, with really bizzare names that seem to appear there all the
time. I can disable them, but they keep comming back. I feel I may
have a virus. I have Macafee installed but it is not detecting any
    viruses. Any help????

Check for spyware. I use ad aware 6.0 by lavasoft. You can download it free
    from www.tucows.com.

Check for spyware using Ad-Aware 6 and Spybot S&D.

    Ad-Aware: www.lavasoft.com

    Spybot: http://www.safer-networking.org/
