    Hi all.
I have a computer with Windows XP SP2 installed. I hv a laptop (which
also has XP SP2) which i LAN with my computer using crossovercable
without any hub. I recently enabled ICS and it was succcessful. But i
am not able to access internet in the client computer inj some
programs. I mean many programs like Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk and
Internet Explorer are saying that I am not connected to internet. I
came to know that ICS was sucessful after using Skype. I am able to
run skype with no issues at all. Can anyone figure out what i need to
do to ensure that all my programs get internet connection. Do I need
    to install any programs??

    Thanks in advance.

ICS is NEVER a satisfactory way to share internet connectivity. You would be
far better advised to buy a router - they're not expensive these days...
