I'm trying to install an Epson R320 printer. I've loaded the software and
plugged into the USB port and for some reason after the Found New Hardware
dialog comes up it will locate the drivers and then display Found New
Hardware again, but this time for a Disk Drive???? I have no idea why that
is happening? The Found New Hardware message just stays there and locks up?
If I shut down and restart, the PC goes into a weird restart loop? It will
re-boot then just shut down and restart again once it fully boots up and is
at the desktop? If I unplug the USB cable for the printer it will bootup
okay and the printer shows up, but obviously offline. I try to plug in the
USB cable again and same thing occurs...Found New Hardware ("Disk Drive")
    and nothing...locks up?

I have no clue what is going on? The OS is Win2000 Pro.

    Any ideas?

Does the printer have a card reader slot? They show up as "Disk
    Drives".

Also, many printers want you to install the siftware first (before you
plug in the USB connector). Have you checked if this is one of them
    (IOW, read the instructions)?
