    Hello,

we use a PIX 515E-RDMZ to protect our network. The outside interface
is directly connected to the providers DSL-modem (t-online). We have
no problem to establish the pppoe connection, our problem is, that the
connection never goes down. We have no flat rate, so we are depend on
an accurate connection management. How can I say the PIX, that it
shell disconnect after an idle-time of e.g. 5 minutes. Is this
possible or is it better to implemet this function with a external
    DSL-Router?

    Thank you for your help!

    Hi,

Would suggest configure the interface dialer, dialer idle-timeout and
also setup the ntp would should cause additional traffic and hopefully
    that should sort it out.
