    Hello,

when I try to open Microsoft PowerPoint, it will not completely
open--gets hung up. I must then hit CTR/Alt/Del to close it. the
message says: "PowerPoint not responding" I have tried several times,
    shut down, retry:
I use Windows ME with PowerPoint 2000
I have checked the resources and seems OK.
I know one way is to unistall, re-install, but I am hoping for an
alternative, if possible. I will use this as a last resort. the only
other problem that I have seen, and do not know if it is related:
when I do the Norton Utilities, and check for Windows errors I get:
Active X/com windows registry. I told the Norton to repair, it did
and PowerPoint still did not open. any suggestions?
    thanks so much

    Try some basic system maintenance.

    If that doesn't help, uninstall/reinstall.
