    Hi all
    I have been using Checkpoint and Netscreen for years but new for Pix.

    In a pix config there are static rcommands that i cannot understand.

    These static commands are written for lowLevel --> highLevel traffic.

    for ex.
    static (inside,outside) 10.1.2.1 10.11.5.1 netmask 255.255.255.255 0 0
    static (inside,outside) 10.1.3.1 10.11.6.1 netmask 255.255.255.255 0 0
    etc
    etc

    But can we write

    static (inside,outside) 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 netmask 0.0.0.0 0 0

    static (highLevel,lowLevel) 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 netmask 0.0.0.0 0 0

    ?

    Why are we wiriting the static commands one by one?

    thanks
