    Hi there
Another Cisco newbie here, thoroughly confused over how to configure my PIX 506E.
Here's what I'm trying to achieve.
In a datacenter, I have rack space. They provided me with a /28 IP space for my servers. They also provide me with one CAT5 cable which goes to their switch. What I'm trying to make this box do is to be the "man-in-the-middle" between the solitary network cable from the datacenter, and the switch behind all my servers. I want to give my firewall an external IP address, so it can be configured from our controls office. I also want to be able to provide my servers (and switch) with external IP addresses. All the PIX must do is filter traffic sent through the cable from the datacenter, by the rules I wish to give it.
I have been working on the assumption that a No NAT setup is required, though it's proving pretty confusing. I've tried to follow this document http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/vpndevc/ps2030/products_tech_note09186a0080094aad.shtml but to no avail. Is there anyone here who can help me? I beg of you please!! :banghead:

    Thanks,
    Dan
