PICTURE STYLE on Canon 40D Not Needed?

It looks like the "picture style" feature in my new Canon 40D is
only for someone who wants to print the pics directly from the camera.

Since i will almost always use Photoshop to fix things up a bit, i
    should
normally use "Neutral" or "Faithful", because they don't alter the RAW
    file
at all (no sharpness, or color correction). Right?

And for the less-serious "street" shots, i could use just a little
    sharpness,
as i don't plan on fixing these up on the computer.
