PHP Fail Again

  1. PHP doesn’t generate good random numbers

But why are they bothering with their own homebrew algorithm, when there are
so many good ones around? Use /dev/random and /dev/urandom if available, for
goshsakes. And on other systems, why not use, say, the Mersenne Twister
algorithm that Python has implemented? That seems to be good enough for non-
    cryptographic uses.
