    Hi All!

    I have a strange problem affecting my PCs from time-to-time. Every
    second it will pause for a moment and then work till next second. Very
    easily seen with a mouse movement, when I move it around it clearly
    freezes for a fraction of a second but every second, all PC programs
    do the same. The only way to stop is to reboot. I was told that it is
    something to do with the network, but then I don;t change my network
    and this thing doesn't happen always or eery days but at times can
    happen several times in one day!

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks

    If you are using winME, set the virtual memory manually. Minimum=RAM,
    Maximum=RAM x 2.5

    If not, post OS, CPU mhz, RAM.. you may not have enough installed.

    Also, you may have memory stick going bad, or overheating.

    or many other reasons why, like worms, viruses.

    Win XP Pro
    Athlon 2200+
    RAM: 1GB
    No viruses or spyware (guaranteed).
