OT: use of FR radios in Europe?

Discussion in 'Digital Photography' started by Roger N. Clark (change username to rnclark), Jun 15, 2006.

  1. For those photo expeditions in Europe, can one
use those FR band walkie talkies to communicate
with your fellow photographers? If not, is there an
equivalent radio band that can be used?

You can not use your FR radios in Europe because of the frequency they
are on, there is an equivalent service in Europe on 446MHz. The radios
can be bought for around €40 a pair and are very similar to your FR
    sets.
