I have read somewhere about keeping a log of each call, all information,
what was tried what changes were made, what worked/didn't work...this seems
    to
    be a lot of information.

And to be able to refer back for solutions. How would one go about keeping
    and searching
all this info? Are there 3rd party software solutions?

Would like to here others experience with this.

  2. I would imagine that there is 3rd party software out there; but I have
not found any that I particular enjoy. I continue to use a 3 ring binder
and tabs -- but I have been doing it this way for a while. However, I am
always open to go technical with my log.

    Great question btw.

Wow, I can't imagine trying to look through written information, and
finding a call you remember, but just can't seem to find.

I would imagine someone has made an Access database. That would
    be nice to have.

    I also use Excel

You can run various Pivot Tables to quickly pull up any sorted data.
Use table 1 format if you need more fields of data to view etc..
