Originality in Supercomputing

  1. With all the wholesale moves to x86 lately, it's refreshing to see one
    vendor take a different tack, and have good, sound reasons for doing so:
    they can put multiple CPU cores, connected by an ultrafast network switching
    fabric, all on the same chip, to keep the costs down. Which is something
    Intel hasn't figured out (yet).
