NSW 2003. Live Update Common Client Update Fails

Discussion in 'Computer Support' started by Ch.Kalyana Krishna, Jun 27, 2003.

  1. Hello all,

I am using NSW 2003 on a windows xp machine with all the latest
    updates & patches.

I have installed NSW 2003 and ran Live Update. It does everything, but
fails at installing Common Client Update. It is required for many
things as per Symantec KB articles. I keep getting the 1004,1 error
every time I reboot. I dont want to bypass it as suggested in Symantec
    KB.

I have not found any links for downloading the pack seperately.

    Please help!!!!!

    regards,
    Kalyan

  2. Shutdown your computer. Start up with a startup disk for DOS. Type in C:
Then type format c: , type 'y' on the question if you want to format.

    Should work....
